What Will Your Life Look Like on January 1, 2019?

kristenLynch-9748.jpg

On July 1, we will already be halfway through 2018! Can you believe how fast this year has gone?! I just got off a call with my mastermind sisters where we thought about where we wanted to be by 2019 in our life & business. We also did a visualization to tap into what the super high-vibe, 2019 version of ourselves looks like. It was so powerful that I want to extent this question to you: if your life were to stay exactly as it is now in the next six months, would you be satisfied?

Before I started my business, my coach asked me the same question. My response was "hell no I wouldn't be satisfied!" She told me my answer said it all--if I didn't act right away, I would always be left unsatisfied and unfulfilled in my life.

So, I 'ripped the band-aid off' and started my business. I was scared #AF but I moved forward anyways, knowing that whatever happened, I would be moving closer to my highest self.

When it was all said and done, I couldn't believe I spent more than two years wanting to start, but always finding a way to talk myself out of it...it all ended up being way way less scary than I thought it would be!

The best part? Things can changed quickly when you start taking action. The clients start rolling in, your audience grows, you plan exciting trips, you work for yourself...whatever you desire becomes SO possible!

If you answered "no," that you wouldn't be satisfied if your life stayed exactly how it is now by the end of the year, I invite you to try one of my favorite visualization exercises.

Your January 1, 2019 Dream Life Visualization:

Journal on the following...

  • What are the top 3 emotions you feel? Excited? Expansive? Abundant? Worthy? Rich? Inspiring?
  • What do you look like? Are you wearing nicer clothes? Are you healthy? Are you in better shape? Are you resting & taking better care of yourself?
  • What are you doing for work? Are you working on a special project? Working with dream clients? Creating a social media following?
  • Who are you interacting with? Are you in a romantic relationship? Who do you engage with for work? Have you up-leveled your friendships?
  • What does your typical day look like? How many hours are you working? What are you doing for pleasure/fun?
  • How are you able to create an impact? Are you able to donate more money? Inspire others through your work? Do you have more time to take care of your family/children?
  • What is your biggest achievement of 2018? What are you most proud of yourself for?

The more specific you can be with your answers, the better! Write it all out and then imagine you are this woman right NOW...it feels so exciting!

Okay so seriously, why wait another second to claim the life you deeply desire? What can you release so you can be your highest self by the end of the year? Let's make these next six months impactful, shall we?

Here for you and excited for your #bestlife!

Stop Sharing Your Superpowers for Free...

kristenLynch-0014.jpg

I hear so many women say that they want to start a business, but feel stuck because they aren’t sure what they would sell. They say things like “there’s nothing unique about me” or “I can’t offer anything that people would want to pay money for.”

In all honesty, this way of thinking is total BS. What I’m here to tell you, is that everyone has something unique about them, something special to share, and something other people would pay to have. I like to call this your superpower.

Here’s the catch…I can almost guarantee you are already using your superpower to help others, but you’re doing it for FREE. Most people have been using their natural gifts and abilities so regularly and have become so comfortable using it, that they assume everyone else has it too. This is totally not the case!!

My question to you, is why the hell are you still offering it for free? Wouldn’t a perfect business be to get paid to offer the one thing you can do better than anyone else?!

I know for me, I had been coaching others in various ways since I was in elementary school. When I grew up and learned all-things yoga, spirituality, personal development, and business, I knew I had to start getting paid to coach…and that is exactly how Goddess Brand Co. [A.K.A. the platform where I offer spiritually-centered + aligned af business coaching] was born!

My top tip to figure out what the hell your superpowers are: Ask your best friends, closest co-workers, and family members what they always come to you for help with. You can ask questions like…

“What is the #1 thing you come to me for as opposed to anyone else?”

“What have I helped you with most since you’ve known me?”

“What do you think I’m better at than anyone else you know?”

“If you had to pay me to help you with ONE thing, what would it be?”

Write down the answers from everyone you ask and notice all the connections. Then, start to piece together how you could actually create a business by using your superpower to solve other people’s pain points. Would you create a luxury product? Offer an exclusive service? Develop a member’s only website? Start a new social media platform? You'll be amazed to find that the things that feel like common-sense to you feel effing revolutionary to others!

I'd LOVE to hear what you come up with! Excited for you!

22 Things I've Learned at 22

kristenLynch-9685 (1).jpg

Last month, I celebrated my 22nd birthday!! Since then, I've been reflecting on everything I've learned over this past year, and throughout my entire life. The reflection was so heartwarming, that I felt called to compile everything into a blog post and share! So, without further adieu, here are 22 things I've learned at 22 years old...

1. Always do your best. You won't ever regret anything if you are always bringing your best self forward.

2. What you believe=your reality. If you believe life has to be hard, it's going to be hard. However, when you can shift your perspective to call-in more positive beliefs, making money, finding success, navigating relationships, etc. can all begin to feel easy.

3. Stillness is medicine. Although it often feels unbearable to sit in stillness, (especially considering the constant stimulation we have all become accustomed to in the 21st century), it is powerfully healing. Stillness provides an opportunity for us to listen to the universe and to our higher selves. It also provides the space for our emotional pain to come into our awareness & be released.

4. There is tremendous power in connecting with like-minded people.

5. Always be a student. Whether or not you are in school, always open yourself up to learn/be curious. I love retreats, spiritual workshops, and working with my own coaches to always make learning a priority.

6. Trust the signs! When you're really listening, the universe will speak to you through signs, or "synchronicities." These are clues that you are on the right path & should always be trusted!

7. Trust your body. When you feel light, inspired, expansive, free, etc., you're doing something right. When you feel heavy, anxious, overwhelmed, blocked, etc., your body is telling you to change courses

8. Worthiness is not something to be "earned." It is your birthright as a human.

9. The Universe/God will always reward you for aligning with your desires.

10. Your purpose lies within your deepest desires.

11. Busyness is just procrastination in disguise. We often use busyness as a way of avoiding the work we don't want to do.

12. Interaction with nature is an essential part of life. It increases intuition, deepens your connection to God and other living beings, and heals your physical body.

13. Don't let other people's fears hold you back. Often, the people closest to us, including our family and friends, are the ones that hold us back the most. Although they usually believe they are supporting us/keeping us safe, their concerns about money, success, stability, and time often keep us stuck from taking action on our dreams.

14. Invest in yourself. The Universe will reward you for making yourself a priority.

15. You have to do things that make you feel good everyday. It's not enough to wait for the weekends, because you deserve to feel good more than that! Some of my favorites are hot lemon water in the mornings, moving my body, spending time in nature, and having time to reflect on the highs & lows of the day with my boyfriend.

16. Ask for feedback and always be open to receiving both positive and negative feedback. Get over your ego and know that your openness is allowing you to grow!

17. If you feel like shit around your friends, you are not hanging out with the right people. Your emotions never lie!

18. It is okay to desire expensive/luxury things and it does not automatically make you a bad/selfish person.

19. Don't be afraid to charge a high-price point for the services you provide/your skills. You deserve this and are more than worthy getting paid generously for your gifts!

20. According to the law of attraction, you attract what you already are, not what you want. When you know that this is true, it becomes so important to be an energetic match for your desires and raise your vibration!

21. Health is a measure of your vitality that extends far beyond the physical level. It also includes spiritual, emotional, and mental.

22. Go for your f%cking dreams! Just do it. You'll never regret trying, but you'll forever regret being too afraid to start.

I'm sure I could easily create a list of hundreds of things I have learned throughout this last year, but I felt this list covered the most important lessons. Hope you enjoyed reading and took some inspiration!

How I Know You're Meant for More + 3 Ways to Up-Level Your Life Today

kristenLynch-0016.jpg

Hey Goddess!

So here's the truth...I know you're meant for more for three reasons:

1. Because you're on this website (you wouldn't be here if, deep down, you didn't believe it too)

2. Because I know you are just like me, only maybe a few steps behind

2. Because, in all honesty, everyone is meant for more

So, what should you do about it?

Let's look at my story. I knew I was meant for more because I tuned-in to how I was feeling. When I was in my late teens/early twenties, I felt heavy, but I knew I wanted to feel light. I had a feeling doing something bigger could create this lightness. The first thing I did was decide I was worth it and choose to make it happen.

WHEN YOU MAKE THE HIGHER, EXPANSIVE CHOICES, YOU DECLARE TO THE UNIVERSE THAT YOU ARE READY FOR MORE.

Once I decided, I started to co-create with the universe. This means I had to start taking inspired action. Inspired action is when you ask for guidance and take steps that resonate with you, rather than blindly following everyone else. When I was deciding to hire my first coach, I had to ask the universe for a sign to know who to invest in!

WHEN YOU TAKE INSPIRED ACTION, YOU TELL THE UNIVERSE YOU ARE READY TO RECEIVE ABUNDANTLY.

Finally, I had to surrender into the universe's plan for my life. This meant releasing my expectations, attachments, and agendas. Although it is scary to do, I believe you close yourself off to so much possibility by sticking to your own plan! When I started my business, I intentionally left some details out. This allowed me to wait and see what was in store for me rather than know everything in advance.

WHEN YOU SURRENDER INTO A HIGHER JOURNEY FOR YOUR LIFE, YOU OPEN YOURSELF UP TO LIMITLESS POSSIBILITY.

Taking these three steps was essential for me to up-level my life. Just like I knew it was true for me, I know it is true that you are meant for MORE. The first step is simply to choose! How can you move closer to claiming more as your new normal?

Sending so much love!

Kristen XO

The Top 7 Spiritual Practices Every Entrepreneur Should Use

kristenLynch-9906.jpg

Personally I think it is a total lie that entrepreneurs, or anyone for that matter, need to hustle in order to find success. In fact, I think too much hustle often leads to burn out, robbing you of success and energy to move forward.

I have found that incorporating spiritual practices into my daily routine has been incredibly beneficial for creating physical, mental, and emotional abundance--so much so that I have made spirituality a large part of my business coaching program.

Here are the top 7 spiritual practices I use to keep me energetic, inspired, and abundant:

Spiritual Practice #1: Yoga Free-Flow

As a Vinyasa yoga teacher, there is nothing I love more than to "flow." Especially after a long day, I don't want to have to follow rules or perfect alignment. I love to play music, come to my mat, and see what happens. So freeing!

Spiritual Practice #2: S.O.C. Journaling

Stream of consciousness journaling is my favorite kind. Without a plan, write down whatever comes to mind. Ditch the rules and let your mind flow. You'll be amazed how light you feel afterwards. Sometimes, you'll even get a really good idea for your business in the process!

Spiritual Practice #3: Crystal + Yoni Egg Practice

If I'm being 100% honest, part of my obsession with crystals is simply because they look so pretty. That being said, I really have noticed powerful energetic shifts since incorporating crystals into my meditation practice. If you want to take it to the #next-level, invest in a yoni egg. My personal favorite is the jade egg by Love Stone. I couldn't believe how grounded and connected I felt just after my first use!

Spiritual Practice #4: Anything Nature

Aside from the obvious benefits of being outdoors, connecting with nature allows you to unleash your creative energy--a must as an entrepreneur.

Spiritual Practice #5: Meditation & Breath

Whether you sit for a few minutes a day to observe your breath or explore a pranayama practice, you can experience powerful growth from your breath. When I find myself hustling too hard, I almost always notice I have lost the sense of presence in my life. If you are aware of your breath, you are automatically bringing yourself into the present.

Spiritual Practice #6: Get Artsy

Anything artistic can be an incredible spiritual practice. Many of you may not know this, but I was a dancer for over ten years. One of my favorite ways to release tension and stagnant energy is to blast music and dance. I also love singing/chanting--you can release so much by using your voice! Check out Nikki Slade and Janet Stone on spotify for guided chants.

Spiritual Practice #7: Utilize the Five Senses

One of my favorite ways to get totally present is to tune into my senses. Here are my favorites...

SIGHT: Crystals and nature

SENT: Essential Oils, sage, and palo santo

TASTE: Fruit and chocolate

TOUCH: Massage, comfy clothes, and soft blankets

SOUND: Sounds of nature, music, guided meditation

How I Built a Business in Four Months (While in College and Teaching 20+ Hours of Yoga a Week...)

kristenLynch-0280.jpg

How does it sound to build a thriving business for yourself before you ever have to work a 9-5? Today I'm giving you my full launch story (how I started my business before even graduating college) + tips on how you can do the same for yourself.

When I was in college, I started to really panic about what I would do after I graduated. It seemed like everyone else around me had their sh%t together and knew what they were doing for the next 40 years of their lives.

As much as I wanted to know what to do with my life, the thought of working the same job, with the same boss, and in the same boring office did not excite me. I realized the thought of working a corporate, 9-5 job was scarier to me than the unpredictable, often unstable, path of being an entrepreneur.

I went back-and-fourth for months, debating the best route for my future. After hours of meditation and self-care, I decided to chose from love rather than fear...and that meant starting my business.

Despite making this decision, I still came up with a ton of excuses to avoid getting started on my business. I felt like I should wait until I had at least some professional work experience. It was terrible timing because I was also leading a yoga teacher training program that took up over 20 hours of my time each week. Plus, at age 21 I felt too young to be taken seriously. Even though I had hundreds of excuses, I knew there would never be a perfect time to start. Thus, I got started right away...

Here is what I did:

1. I hired my first business coach.

While it was a big investment for me, I knew I needed the accountability and sense of direction in order to really see success in my business.

2. I felt the fear but moved forward anyway.

At any stage in your life, fear can really keep you paralyzed from taking action. Ultimately, deep down you have to know that this path is meant for you and trust yourself to make it happen.

3. I made a business out of what I was already doing.

The two primary things I was doing in my life during the four months I spent building my business were teaching yoga and pursuing a BBA degree. I created a business that literally blended these two commitments as a service. This made allowed my commitments contribute to my business rather than waste valuable time.

4. I made adequate time for self-care.

This piece was so important to avoid getting burned out. I took weekly yoga and fitness classes, made healthy food, got massages, spent time in nature, meditated, and had multiple at-home spa nights each week.

5. I made the higher choices.

I can't even remember how many times I turned down bar nights and parties throughout college. Of course it is still important to have a social life and spend time with your friends, but I skipped out on the events I knew would distract me from working on my launch and/or hinder my progress. Although it was a tough decision at times, I knew it was often necessary to make this dream a reality.

6. I cut the Excuses.

No, I was not too busy, too young, to under-qualified, or too broke to start my business. I decided I was pretty enough, smart enough, talented enough, rich enough, old enough, and good enough to start exactly as I was (and you are too!)

7. I started with what I was already good at.

I love writing, so I started with blog posts and newsletters before jumping into Instagram and other platforms that intimidated me. Don't feel like you have to be an expert at everything before you start.

I believe you can have any number of commitments--work, school, raising a child, etc.--and it is that it is still 100% possible to create a life for yourself.

Sending love!

How to Create a Brand and Business Out of Yourself

If you're anything like me, you have a pretty good sense of how your ideal life would look. You know where you'd live, what type of car you'd drive, where you'd be taking yoga classes in town, where you'd vacation to, and even how much money you'd make. While you also know that your ideal life requires you to have your own business and be your own boss, you may still be struggling to grasp exactly what that would look like for you.

Once I decided I wanted to start a business, I still had no idea what I would actually create. While I tried to launch a product-based business for a while, I eventually realized that I was best suited to provide services. To get a clear sense of what my services would be, I started by outlining the top 3 overarching themes/roles that had been present in my life:

1. For as long as could remember I wanted to be a teacher or a psychologist. I love being the catalyst for growth in people's lives

2. I have a business degree from the #4 BBA program in the country

3. I am an RYT-200 certified yoga teacher and have a deep interest and vast knowledge of spirituality, eastern healing philosophies, and personal development

When I looked at this list, my business became clear to me. Because of my past desires, I knew I wanted the foundation of the business to be coaching and mentoring. With a business degree, I knew the #1 problem I would solve is to help aspiring female entrepreneurs finally start their business. Lastly, I knew I wanted to take my services a layer deeper by using my yoga background to incorporate spirituality into my programs.

Even though I still had a lot of work to do to start my business, this process allowed me to identify the foundation of my business and clarify the exact service I was offering. You are enough as you are and can get paid to be you!

Sending LOVE,

Kristen XO
